Abstract:
In order to improve the stability of comprehensive cigarette quality control, the methods for the establishment of the three typical multivariate statistical control charts(
T2, MCUSUM, and generalized variance control charts) used in cigarette manufacturing quality control were analyzed and their competence for detection of abnormal fluctuations were compared. The choice control chart was used to evaluate the stabilities of comprehensive manufacturing quality of three cigarette brands and different cigarette makers. The results showed that MCUSUM control chart was more competent for the detection of minor deviations concerning weight, circumference, draw resistance, length, hardness and total ventilation rate of cigarette than
T2 control chart, and more sensitive to the abnormal fluctuations of mean value vectors in the process of cigarette manufacturing; by combining with generalized variance control chart, it could ensure the deviation and fluctuation degrees of mean values to be controlled simultaneously in the process of cigarette manufacturing. The manufacturing qualityof three cigarette brands manufactured by PROTOS-M5 maker and PROTOS-70 maker was analyzed, the results indicated that the stability of manufacturing quality for the same maker was dependent on cigarette brands, and that for the same brand dependent on makers.
