Abstract:
In order to study the influences of filter rod draw resistance and filter length on the migration ratios of six elements(Cr,Ni,As,Se,Cd and Pb) into cigarette smoke under ISO and HCI smoking regimes, cigarette samples were prepared according to single factor design to that aim.The results showed that:1) Under ISO smoking regime, filter rod draw resistance significantly negatively correlated to the migration ratios of Ni,Pb,Cr and Cd into mainstream cigarette smoke and Ni into sidestream cigarette smoke, while significantly positively correlated to the migration ratio of Cd into sidestream cigarette smoke.Filter length significantly negatively correlated to the migration ratios of the six elements into mainstream cigarette smoke, while significantly positively correlated to the migration ratios of Ni and Pb into sidestream cigarette smoke.2) Under HCI smoking regime, filter rod draw resistance significantly negatively correlated to the migration ratio of Pb into mainstream cigarette smoke.Filter length significantly negatively correlated to the migration ratios of the six elements into mainstream cigarette smoke and Cr and Cd into sidestream cigarette smoke, while significantly positively correlated to the migration ratio of Pb into sidestream cigarette smoke.
