Abstract:
In order to compare the correlation degrees between cigarette sensory quality and the pH value of mainstream cigarette smoke(MCS pH) and that of particulate matters in MCS(PM pH),MCS pH,PM pH and the contents of routine chemical components(including nicotine, total sugar, reducing sugar, total nitrogen, potassium and chloride) in cut filler of 20 sensory standard cigarette samples were determined.Based on the standard sensory scores of the samples, the relationships of sensory quality with MCS pH,PM pH and routine chemical components were researched by simple correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis. The results showed that:1) The correlation degree of cigarette sensory quality with MCS pH was higher than that with PM pH or the routine chemical components(excluding reducing sugar).2) The values of MCS pH of the samples ranged from 5.615 to 6.055 and increased with the rise of sensory scores.
