Abstract:
To investigate the formation mechanism of style characteristics of flue-cured tobaccos from different ecological environment conditions, the middle leaves of flue-cured tobacco cv. Qinyan96 grown in two ecological zones, i.e. Luonan County in Shangluo City and Longxian County in Baoji City (the control) were sampled 15 days after topping, and their gene expression profiles were preliminarily analyzed with Agilent tobacco oligo microarray. The results showed that, comparing with those from Longxian, of the 44 000 genes of leaves from Luonan, there were 2 058 differentially expressed genes, including 962(46.74%)up-regulated genes and 1 096(53.26%)down-regulated genes. Categorizing by function, those genes mainly involved in biological processes, including metabolism, response to external environment stimulation, physiological regulation; and mostly distributed in extracellular regions and endomembrane systems. Synthesis metabolism of carbohydrate was more active in leaves from Luonan, while that of terpenoid, phenylpropanoid and aromatic compound was active in leaves from Longxian. Metabolic pathway analysis indicated that genes related to cell signal transduction, transcription factor and involved in plant abiotic stress were of higher expression in leaves from both Luonan and Longxian.
