Abstract:
The opening in vibration screen tends to be blocked in tobacco screening process due to scraps and foreign matter are not well removed by the roller screen. The roller screen was modified,in which the original rollers were replaced by wheels and the downstream secondary vibration screen was removed. In the process of screening,the length and width of opening were fixed to prevent scraps of large size from being screened out and allow the pneumatically separated scraps satisfying the technical requirements of subsequent processing steps. The results showed that the average screening out ratio for scraps and foreign matter increased by 54.3 percentage points;scraps and stems obtained by the pneumatic separator raised by 271.3% and rejected foreign matter raised by 333.3%;electric power consumption reduced by 79.2 kW·h/d. The improvement simplifies the screening process and effectively promotes its effect.
