Abstract:
In order to investigate the influences of external factors on the test results of TM710e moisture meter, the effects of installation location (height and distance), material status (shape, moisture content, temperature, color and movement pattern), test environment (light intensity)on the test results were studied by single-factor multi-level experiments. The results showed that:1) The test results of moisture meter were affected by installation location and material status, but not significantly influenced by test environment (light intensity). The influence degrees of different factors were installation distance > installation height, material color > material shape, moisture content in material > material temperature, and movement pattern of material > light intensity, respectively. 2) Moisture meter needed to be recalibrated to determine an appropriate correction coefficient for different material status. 3) The appropriate distance between moisture meter and the outlet of cut tobacco drying cylinder was 1.5-6.0 m, and appropriate installation height was 0.15-0.35 m. Therefore, the test environment and installation method of TM710e moisture meter should be dependent on the effects of all influencing factors.
