Abstract:
In order to investigate the influences of capsule crushing on the deliveries of harmful components in mainstream cigarette smoke, typical domestic capsule cigarettes were sampled and the effects of capsule crushing on the deliveries and filter filtration efficiencies to seven harmful components in mainstream cigarette smoke were analyzed. The results showed that:1) Under ISO smoking regime, comparing with the cigarettes without capsule crushing, the delivery of BaP in mainstream smoke of single capsule cigarette increased and those of the other harmful components did not change. 2) The delivery of crotonaldehyde in mainstream smoke of single capsule cigarette decreased significantly after capsules were crushed, and there were no obvious deviations for the other harmful components. 3) The deliveries of ammonia and NNK per unit nicotine in mainstream cigarette smoke increased significantly and that of crotonaldehyde decreased significantly after capsules were crushed. 4) The filter filtration efficiency for phenol increased significantly and that for NNK decreased significantly after capsules were crushed.
