Abstract:
In C800-BV cartoner, glue quality variation, nozzle blocking and solenoid valve failure would interrupt glue application. Therefore, a system for detecting glue points on carton blanks was designed based on visual detection technology. The system was mainly composed of high-speed industrial micro-cameras, LED light sources, an intelligent detection module, a rejection device, a high-speed optical fiber transmission module and an industrial personal computer. After digitization, the images of glue points acquired by the industrial cameras were compared with the standard image to implement dynamic detection of the glue points on running carton blanks, and the cartons with glue point defects were rejected automatically. The results showed that after improvement, the rejection rate of cartons with glue point defects was higher than 99.9%, the amount of cartons with glue point defects decreased from 62.5 to 7 cartons per day, 12 765 carton blanks could be saved per year for one C800-BV cartoner. This system effectively promotes the quality of cigarette packaging and reduces material consumption in cigarette production.
