Abstract: To reveal the spatial-temporal variability of comparative advantage of flue-cured tobacco production and the main influence factors in China, the agricultural production data in China Statistical Yearbook, comprehensive comparative advantage index and ArcGIS software were used to analyze the spatial-temporal characteristics of comparative advantage of flue-cured tobacco production. The results showed that in 1985, 2000 and 2014, production scale advantage index and aggregated advantage index were higher in Southwest areas in China, and efficiency advantage index was higher in Northwest, North and Northeast areas. In 1985-2000 and 1985-2014, the areas with increased production scale and aggregated advantage indexes were mainly distributed in Southwest and Northwest China; while in 2000-2014, these were mainly in Southwest China. In 1985-2000, 2000-2014 and 1985-2014, the areas with an increased efficiency advantage index mainly located in Southwest, Southeast and Northwest China.
