Abstract:
To screen suitable bio-organic fertilizers (BOFs) to root-zone soil for flue-cured tobacco rotated with rice paddy in southern Hunan, a field experiment was performed in Guiyang County to investigate the effects of different BOFs on selected agronomic traits, chlorophyll, photosynthetic characteristic, and leaf economic traits, physical properties, chemical components and sensory quality of flue-cured tobacco. The results showed that:1) The application of BOF fermented from rapeseed, sesame and bean cakes and BOF fermented from pig manure to root-zone soil was beneficial in promoting the growth of flue-cured tobacco, especially on the photosynthetic capacity, physical properties and chemical components of tobacco leaves. 2) The yield and output value of flue-cured tobacco were the highest under the treatment of BOF fermented from rapeseed, sesame and bean cakes. 3) BOF fermented from rapeseed, sesame and bean cakes and BOF fermented from plant straws improved the sensory quality of flue-cured tobacco. Therefore, BOF fermented from rapeseed, sesame and bean cakes was suitable for the root-zone soil of flue-cured tobacco in tobacco-rice rotation fields in southern Hunan.
