Abstract:
In order to investigate the influences of conditioning process (loosening and conditioning or vacuum preconditioning + loosening and conditioning) and processing intensity on the aroma note and offensive odor of five blended tobacco modules (Yunnan, Fujian, Guizhou, Henan and Brazil modules) with typical stylistic character, the five modules were tested on a pilot processing line and exposed to the same processing intensity, then their sensory quality was evaluated. The results showed that:1) The sweetness scent of all the five modules increased to a certain extent; the burnt scent and nutty scent of Yunnan module obviously increased, its fresh scent and floral scent decreased slightly; the nutty scent of Fujian module increased, its fresh scent decreased slightly after higher intensity processing; the burnt scent and nutty scent of Guizhou module increased obviously, while over intensive processing reduced the fresh scent of the same; the burnt scent of Brazil module increased slightly, high intensity loosening and conditioning or vacuum preconditioning reduced the resin scent of the same. 2) The raw green odor of all the five modules decreased, over intensive processing raised their scorched odor; and the woody odor of Yunnan module decreased obviously.
