Characterization of vapor mass concentration and influencing factors from e-cigarette

  • 摘要: 为评价电子烟烟雾质量浓度并探究其影响因素,基于气溶胶光学特性建立了利用透光率定量表征烟雾质量浓度的方法,采用开发的烟雾质量浓度测试系统考察了不同抽吸参数、烟液溶剂、工作电压和电阻对烟雾质量浓度的影响。结果表明:①当抽吸容量一定时,在较短抽吸间隔条件下,电子烟烟雾质量浓度较大。②使用甘油和1,2-丙二醇混合溶剂时,电子烟烟雾质量浓度大于使用单一溶剂。③在相同的抽吸条件下,电子烟输出功率与烟雾质量浓度正相关。该表征方法和测试系统合理、有效,适用于电子烟烟雾质量浓度的实时、定量分析。

     

    Abstract: In order to evaluate the vapor mass concentration of e-cigarette aerosol and to investigate its influencing factors, a method for quantitatively characterizing the mass concentration of e-cigarette aerosol via optical transmittance was established. The effects of machine puffing parameters, solvent types and concentrations in e-liquid, coil working voltage and coil resistance of e-cigarette on the vapor mass concentration were investigated by adopting the developed test system. The results showed that:1) Under constant puffing volume, the vapor mass concentration was larger at a shorter puffing interval. 2) When the mixture of glycerol and 1, 2-propylene glycol was used as the solvent of e-liquid, the mass concentration of e-cigarette aerosol was higher than that of a single solvent. 3) Under the same puffing condition, the output power of e-cigarette coil positively correlated to the mass concentration of the aerosol produced. This characterization method and the developed test system are reasonable, effective, and suitable for real-time quantitative analysis of the mass concentration of e-cigarette aerosol.
