Abstract:
In order to establish a method to quantify labdanoids in oriental tobacco, a dispersive Solid-Phase Extraction-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (d-SPE-GC/MS) method was used to measure ten labdanoids in oriental tobacco. The fragmentation mechanisms of nine labdaniols were deduced according to the fragmentation pattern of sclareolide, and their contents were semi-quantified by using the calibration curve of sclareolide. With anthracene-
d10 as the internal standard, the effects of extraction time, eluent volume and purification on the contents of labdanoids were investigated. The results showed the correlation coefficient (
R2) and relative standard deviation (RSD) of sclareolide was 0.999 5 and 2.09%, respectively. The recoveries ranged from 100.65% to 106.91%. The limits of detection and quantification were 0.06 μg·mL
-1 and 0.19 μg·mL
-1, respectively. This method is simple, sensitive, accurate, therefore suitable for the determination of labdanoids in oriental tobacco.
