Abstract:
To select quality flue-cured tobacco varieties suitable for Zhoukou tobacco-growing area, a plot experiment was conducted in 2015-2016. The differences of agronomic characters, economic characteristics, chemical compositions, aroma components, physical characteristics and sensory quality among six flue-cured tobacco varieties (Yuyan 10, Yuyan 12, Danyan 1, NC55, Yunyan 87 and K326) were analyzed by using Zhongyan 100 as the control. The results showed that the adaptability of Yunyan 87 was higher, it was significantly superior to the control in terms of the proportion of high and middle grade tobacco leaves, average price and output value. Its neutral aroma substance contents and sensory quality were higher than those of the control. Yuyan 10 and NC55 were sensitive to climatic conditions. Yuyan 10 tended to have leaf spot disease in a long-term high temperature period at mature stage, while NC55 tended to suffer from early flowering at low temperature during early growing stage. Comparing with the control, the yield, output value and proportion of high grade tobacco leaves of K326 were significantly lower; and the proportion of high grade tobacco leaves and sensory quality of Danyan 1 were lower. Yuyan 12 was sensitive to nitrogen fertilizer.
