Abstract: The papers in Tobacco Science & Technology under the column of "Equipment & Apparatus" during 1976-2016 cited by Web of Science (WOS) database were statistically analyzed with bibliometrics methods, and the citation data were analyzed from two angles:cited papers and citing papers. The results showed that:1) A total of 43 equipment & apparatus papers were cited, most of them focused on cigarette making, assembling and packing equipment, detection apparatus and tobacco primary processing equipment. The earliest paper appeared in 1976, and the most cited papers came from the institutions affiliated to China Tobacco Machinery Group Limited Corporation. 2) There were 40 citing papers totally, presented in 27 academic journals indexed by SCI or EI with the highest impact factor (IF) of 4.397 covering the disciplines of engineering technology, biological material, information technology, environmental science, and others. It indicated that domestic tobacco machinery manufacturing technology was gaining more and more attention in international academic exchange and hot spot research.
