Application of UV-visible spectroscopy to study liquid stability for breakable capsules in cigarette filter

  • 摘要: 为研究烟用爆珠内液化学成分的稳定性,采用无水乙醇稀释爆珠内液,紫外-可见光谱(UV-vis)扫描,平滑后一阶导数预处理光谱,并结合主成分分析(PCA)方法研究了烟用爆珠内液化学成分与UV-vis的关系;建立了烟用爆珠内液稳定性表征模型,并对模型进行了验证。结果表明:①UV-vis能够对爆珠内液有特征吸收的化学成分进行表征;②当显著水平α=0.05时,6种不同牌号的爆珠样品内液表征模型对异常和正常样品的正确判别率均为100%;③结合聚类分析,UV-vis与GC/MS方法均能明显区分烟用爆珠内液正常样品与异常样品。该方法快速准确、经济环保,可用于烟用爆珠内液的质量监测。

     

    Abstract: In order to study the chemical stability of liquids in breakable capsules for cigarette filter, the liquid samples were diluted by anhydrous ethanol before UV-visible spectra were collected. The obtained spectra were preprocessed by smoothing to obtain first derivative. The relationships between the chemical components and UV-visible spectra were analyzed by principal component analysis (PCA). The characterization models for chemical stability of the liquids in breakable capsules were developed and validated. The results showed that:1) The chemical components with characteristic ultraviolet absorption in the breakable capsules could be characterized by UV-visible spectra. 2) At the significance level of 0.05, the recognition rates to normal and abnormal samples by the characterization models for six types of capsules were 100%. 3) Both UV-visible method and headspace-GC-MS method could successfully distinguish the normal and abnormal breakable capsule samples with cluster analysis. This method is rapid, accurate, economical and environmentally friendly, thus suitable for the quality control of breakable capsule liquids for cigarette filter.
