Abstract:
In order to promote the uniformity of tobacco discharged from cut tobacco silo and reduce tobacco breakage, a raking mechanism was designed by means of gear pair transmission. The mechanism inserts spikers into the bulk tobacco at a defined angle via changing the spiker's movement direction, and carries cut tobacco down through the parallel movement of spikers. The point contacts between tobacco and spikers generate less impact on cut tobacco. The cut tobacco for cigarette brand "Good Cat" was tested in Chengcheng Cigarette Factory, and the results showed that comparing with picker roller, raking mechanism increased integral strand proportion by 0.51 percentage points. The stress on cut tobacco was controllable and decreased the processing intensity and breakage of cut tobacco. This technology provides a technical support for promoting the consistency of cigarette manufacturing.
