β-环糊精微胶囊的制备及其在电子烟烟液中的应用

Preparation of β-cyclodextrin microcapsules and their application in electronic cigarette liquids

  • 摘要: 为提高电子烟烟液中香气成分和烟碱在抽吸过程中释放的稳定性,延长烟液货架期,分别以己酸乙酯、薄荷醇、烟草香精和烟碱为芯材,以β-环糊精为壁材,制备了4种电子烟用微胶囊。使用粒度仪、扫描电镜仪、热重分析仪、差示扫描量热仪和红外光谱仪对其进行表征。将上述微胶囊应用于烟液中,进行电子烟逐口抽吸成分释放分析、电子烟保存稳定性研究及感官质量评价。结果表明:①上述4种芯材与β-环糊精均形成了稳定的微胶囊包合物。②随着电子烟抽吸口数增加,对照组(含质量百分比相同的非微胶囊芯材的烟液)单位烟气中香气成分和烟碱释放量均呈下降趋势,实验组呈上升趋势。随着电子烟保存时间延长,实验组电子烟单位烟气中香气成分释放量比对照组下降缓慢,且实验组烟碱释放稳定性优于对照组。③微胶囊烟液的感官质量均优于对照烟液。

     

    Abstract: To improve the delivery and stability of aroma components and nicotine in e-liquids used in e-cigarettes during puffing and to extend e-liquids' shelf life, four β-cyclodextrin-based microcapsules were made by using four target flavor materials, ethyl caproate, menthol, tobacco flavor and nicotine, separately. The prepared materials were characterized by a particle size analyzer, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analyzer, differential scanning calorimetry, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. These four kinds of microcapsules were applied to e-liquids, and then the e-cigarettes were tested on puff-by-puff deliveries of aerosol during puffing and to estimate their encapsulation stability and sensory quality. The results showed that:1) The successful formation of the stable inclusion complexes between the four core materials and β-cyclodextrin outer shell was confirmed. 2) With the proceeding of puffing, the deliveries of aroma components and nicotine from per unit aerosol of the control group (which contained the same quantities of e-liquids without microcapsule core materials) decreased, while those from the experimental groups increased. With the extended encapsulation, the deliveries of the aroma components per unit aerosol of e-cigarettes decreased more slowly in the experimental group compared with the control group, and the nicotine delivery stability of the experimental group was better than the control group. 3) The sensory quality of microcapsule e-liquids was better than that of the control e-liquids.
