Abstract:
The variable-speed system of cigarette packet discharger turret in GDX1 packer was modified to reduce its failure rate. By analyzing the movement of the system and calculating the wear of the hinge joint, a dual planetary gear mechanism was configured to share the load and prolong the working life of the parts. The mechanical analysis of the system was carried out with PROE software before and after modification, which indicated that basically there was no radial force acting on the center shaft and the force acting on the pin shaft reduced by 50% after modification. GDX1 packer was tested on cigarettes of brand "Good Day (Treasure)", the results showed that the modified variable-speed system ran stably, the failure rate of the discharger turret decreased by 75%, and maintenance interval prolonged by 7.3 months. The maintenance cost of 2 335.8 RMB yuan was saved for each packer per year. This technology provides a support for improving the performance of cigarette packing line.
