Abstract: In order to produce the packet format which contains a pair of aluminum foil wrapped bundles of heat-not-burn (HnB) products automatically, a double-track aluminum foil innerliner folding and combining system was designed on the basis of a FOCKE350 packer. Each track was mainly composed of a foil folding mechanism, a foil-wrapped bundle combining mechanism, an inner frame inserting mechanism and an inner angle folder. The system was tested in Yuxi Cigarette Factory on HnB products of brand "MC", the results showed that the retrofitted FOCKE350 packer ran stably and reliably, the sensory quality of products was well, and the qualified rate of HnB products reached 97.4%. This technology provides a support for the diversity of cigarette packing format.
