Abstract:
To make cut tobacco conveying more smoothly, the settings of high frequency vibrating trough were optimized on the basis of throwing index theory. A spacer plate was put under the input end of the trough to increase the inclination angle of the trough against the ground to prevent cut tobacco from buildup. The preferable throwing index
D was in the range of 2.7-3.3. The optimal standard deviation (SD) of the moisture content in output tobacco was brought about at the settings of:throwing index
D=3.1, amplitude of vibrating trough
λ=7 mm, frequency of vibrator
f=32.0 Hz and the coincidence degree of eccentric block 75%. The cut tobacco for cigarette brand "Septwolves (Pride)" was tested in Xiamen Tobacco Industrial Limited Corporation, the results showed that the SD of moisture content in output tobacco decreased by 24%, the CPK value increased by 96%, equipment ran smoothly, and the loosening degree and blending uniformity of cut tobacco were improved effectively. This technology provides a support for promoting the conveying capacity and quality consistency of cut tobacco.
