Abstract:
In order to accurately determine the main aerosol components in tobacco material of heat-not-burn consumable products, a gas chromatography-thermal conductivity detector (GC-TCD) method was developed for moisture, 1, 2-propylene glycol, nicotine and glycerol. n-Butanol and 1, 3-butanediol were used as internal standards and methanol as extraction solvent for oscillation extraction. The tobacco materials of six heat-not-burn consumable samples were tested by the developed method. The results showed that: 1) The recoveries of this method ranged from 95.18% to 100.80% with RSDs of 0.56%-1.27%. The limits of detection of the four analytes were in the range of 0.10-1.02 mg/g. 2) The contents of moisture, 1, 2-propylene glycol, nicotine and glycerol in the samples were 90.27-119.63, 0.33-2.41, 14.54-15.14 and 130.93-143.83 mg/g, respectively. This method is simple, sensitive, accurate and suitable for the quantitative analysis of moisture, 1, 2-propylene glycol, nicotine and glycerol in tobacco material of heat-not-burn products.
