Abstract:
To even out the distribution of tobacco in the metering chute and reduce machine failures, the excess tobacco recycling system in ZJ19B cigarette maker was modified. A low-speed tobacco conveying belt was adopted in conjunction with a double-screw conveyor to replace the recycling tobacco conveying belt and vibrating trough. The excess tobacco removed by the trimmer was conveyed to the low-speed belt, rather than the metering tube directly, it was transported to the metering chute after metering by transfer drum to improve the uniformity of cut tobacco distribution. The system was tested on cigarette brand "Great Wall (Chunya Mint)" in Shifang Great Wall Cigar Factory, the results showed that the new system did not affect the standard deviation of individual cigarette weight, the standard deviations of draw resistance and total ventilation rate reduced by 10 Pa and 0.3 percentage points respectively. The maintenance frequency of the recycling system decreased from 5 times per year to 0. This technology provides a technical support for the promotion of cigarette quality and production efficiency.
