Abstract:
In order to benchmark and promote academic standards and sustainable development of peer-reviewed scientific journals, the academic influences of scientific journals were analyzed through a big data approach. Taking the Journal of
Tobacco Science & Technology as a research object, the citation database from the Knowledge Resource Base of CNKI, 150 highly cited papers from the journal were analyzed with bibliometric parameters such as keywords, research fields, funding sources, authors and their affiliations. Using the big data tools provided by CNKI, hot research topics in tobacco science were identified and analyzed, and the"double-high"authors (high citation and high impact) were screened out, the distributions of high-quality manuscripts and excellent authors were mapped. Based on the results, specific suggestions are proposed for the journal column planning and topic selection of Tobacco Science and Technology.
