Abstract:
In order to investigate the effects of climate change on the suitability for the growth of flue-cured tobacco, the main climatic factors for six main flue-cured tobacco planting areas in Shaanxi, inter-annual fluctuation of climatic suitability indexes for flue-cured tobacco, the main limiting climatic factors and the tendency of climatic factors in each tobacco planting area from 1980 to 2015, and the risk degree of flue-cured tobacco planting in each area were evaluated. The results showed that the inter-annual fluctuation of precipitation during the growth period of flue-cured tobacco was great, and the precipitation was the main limiting factor for the climatic suitability of flue-cured tobacco. With better inter-annual stability, the comprehensive climatic suitability of flue-cured tobacco in Ankang, Hanzhong and Shangluo was relatively higher, and those regions were suitable to be developed into major tobacco planting areas. The climatic trend analysis indicated that the temperature in most flue-cured tobacco planting areas of Shaanxi presented a significant raising trend, which significantly promoted the climatic suitability of flue-cured tobacco in Baoji and Xianyang.
