Abstract:
To overcome the shortcoming that the glue at the outlet of the glue application system in MAX filter assembler of PROTOS M5 cigarette maker is in surplus or in deficiency in the case of machine halting. The adjustment of the pneumatic control oblique stop valve and glue application system was synchronized on the basis of Beckhoff real-time multicore system and by implementing the reading of signals from proportional input valve and the independent control of standby solenoid valve on valve island through control programs writing and changing the method of external variables linking. The modified PROTOS M5 cigarette maker was tested on cigarette brand "Septwolves (Red Wolf)". The results showed that the glue application system in MAX filter assembler ran stably, the gluing failures decreased from 7.5 to 0.2 times per shift, or reduced by 97.3%; the QI (Quality Index) of cigarettes raised from 95.46 to 95.90 points. This method provides a technical support for promoting the efficiency of high speed filter cigarette makers.
