Abstract:
In order to compare the application potential of electrostatic insecticide sprayers for pest control in tobacco fields, the control efficacies and the dynamic changes of residue levels of two insecticides against
Spodoptera litura and
Helicoverpa assulta sprayed by electrostatic and electric sprayers were tested. The results showed that: 1) The control efficacies against
S. litura and
H. assulta of 5% emamectin benzoate WG and 5% emamectin perchloric ME sprayed with the electrostatic sprayers were significantly higher than those achieved with the electric sprayers. 2) After electrostatic or electric spraying, the residue levels of the two insecticides in tobacco leaves and soil of tobacco fields decreased with time. In addition, the residue levels of insecticides sprayed by the electrostatic sprayers in tobacco leaves were significantly higher and the residue levels in ridge soil and furrow soil of tobacco fields significantly lower than those sprayed by the electric sprayers. 3) The yield and output value of flue-cured tobacco treated with the two insecticides sprayed by the electrostatic sprayers were significantly higher than those by the electric sprayers.
