Abstract:
In order to stabilize the throughput of the ordering cylinder, the discharge system of the vertical slicer for unpacked tobacco was optimized. A rotary vane discharger was used to replace the original solid bottom of the discharge system; the guide device was changed from an inclined flat plate to an arc-shaped plate. The rotary vanes push the sliced tobacco to slide along the arc-shaped guide plate and fall on the conveyor belt. The modified slicer was tested on the standard tobacco cases for manufacturing cigarettes of "Shuangxi" brand in Zhanjiang Cigarette Factory. The results showed that the sliced tobacco was lined up compactly and orderly, the mean standard deviation of the throughput of the ordering cylinder reduced from 70.08 to 41.42 kg/h, or by 40.9%; the mean standard deviation of moisture content in output tobacco decreased from 1.74% to 1.51%, or by 0.23 percentage points. This technology provides a support for promoting the throughput stability in tobacco ordering.
