Abstract:
In order to equally divide the running cigarette paper and prevent the occurrence of rough edge caused by lateral deviation, an automatic cigarette paper adjustment system was designed for ZJ116 filter cigarette maker. The system is composed of an adjustment device and an edge position detector. A photoelectric sensor was used to detect the lateral deviation of the cigarette paper and send a signal to a control system if there was any deviation. Once receiving the signal, the control system activated a control motor to drive a deflectable paper guide roller and adjust the lateral position of the cigarette paper through a screw rod slider, linkage mechanism and swing arm. A comparative test between ZJ116A and ZJ119 filter cigarette makers was conducted on cigarette brand "Honghe (Hard 88)" in Honghe Cigarette Factory. The results showed that comparing with ZJ116A filter cigarette maker, the ZJ119 maker with the automatic adjustment system avoided the rough edge of cigarette paper and reduced manual adjustment operation by 3.67 times per month. This technology provides a support for promoting the appearance quality of cigarette and the operation efficiency of cigarette makers.
