Abstract:
In order to prevent the seams of cigarette packet packed with stiff label from opening, a hybrid system, which combined a cold adhesive applicator with a hot melt adhesive applicator, and a nozzle cleaning device were designed via modifying the label gluing process of YB25 soft packer. Incorporating the phase signal from the encoder of the main transmission shaft, a controller controls the hot melt adhesive applicator and cold adhesive applicator to complete the application of hot melt adhesive and cold adhesive respectively. The cold adhesive gun is cleaned with felt, and its nozzle is sealed with vaseline to prevent cold adhesive from solidifying and blocking the nozzle. Before and after modification, a YB25 soft packer was tested on medium cigarettes in Yuxi Cigarette Factory. The results showed that the label consumption per 50 000 cigarettes reduced by 9.3%, and the rate of sub-quality cigarette packets decreased by 4.97 percentage points. This technology provides a support for promoting cigarette packing quality.
