Abstract:
In order to improve the safety management of tobacco flavors, the safety management methods and flash point detection methods of flavor and fragrance at home and abroad were investigated. The flash points of some tobacco flavor samples were determined, and the variation characteristics of flash points of mixed solvent system and the influences of mixed solvents on flash points of tobacco flavor samples were analyzed. The results showed that: 1) ASTM D6450 flash point detection method featured a smaller sampling scale and a wider temperature determining range and was suitable for detecting the flash points of tobacco flavor samples. 2) The flash point of tobacco flavor sample was mainly determined by the volume fraction of ethanol in the formula, and it was lower than 28 ℃ when the volume fraction of ethanol was higher than 40%. 3) By using mixed solvents and appropriately reducing the volume fraction of ethanol in the flavor formula, the flash points of flavors could be controlled to improve the safety of tobacco flavors.
