Abstract: A complete mechanization process is thought to be inevitable for modern tobacco agriculture development. In order to accelerate the process of tobacco agriculture mechanization from the perspective of organizational management, this paper conducts a retrospective study on the exploration and practice of full-process mechanization in tobacco leaf production in Xuchang, Henan Province as a pilot project. The key points are summarized, and a theoretical model for full-process mechanization in tobacco production is constructed based on the grounded theory, which includes 4 main categories, 12 sub-categories, and 46 concepts. The results showed that the kernel logic of the whole mechanization process of tobacco production was to break the key constraints of land scale and agricultural machinery and agronomy disconnection through resource bricolage behavior. In the theoretical model, the resource bricolage behavior of the tobacco cooperatives led to resource constraint breakthrough and organizational mode reform, which were the two paths that promoted the constant adjustment of the productivity and production relations for realizing the whole mechanization process of tobacco production. Furthermore, as an important organizational form of modern tobacco agriculture, the cooperatives could effectively acquire resources such as moderate-scale tobacco fields and a series of agricultural machinery for tobacco was the basis, and the large-scale integration, rational utilization, and transformation adaptable to the mechanization of production resources were the keys for realizing the whole process mechanization of tobacco production.
