Abstract:
To avoid machine failures and defective cigarette packets caused by inaccurate label positioning during the cigarette packet forming process of GDX500 soft packer, a vacuum cigarette receiver mechanism was designed. The mechanism consisted of a manifold block, a hollow linking rod, and a vacuum chamber cigarette receiver. The mechanism was installed on the gearbox of wheel No.3 by means of a seat. Driven by the linking rod, the manifold block moved back and forth along with the cigarette receiver, and the air inlet holes on the manifold block connected to and disconnected from the arc-shaped groove on the seat alternately, thereby achieving on-off control of the air circuit. The angle of the arc-shaped groove was 48.8° by the motion analysis of the mechanism. By the experiment of the position deviation of the label versus vacuum pressure, the optimal vacuum pressure was 0.04 MPa. A test was conducted on cigarette brand "Yuxi (Soft)" in Yuxi Cigarette Factory. The results showed that the frequency of machine shutdown due to label or cigarette packet jam decreased from 10.4 times/d to 1.1 times/d. The efficiency of the GDX500 soft packer increased by 5.42 percentage points, while the unqualified rate of cigarette packets decreased by 0.12 percentage points. This technology provides support for improving the efficiency of cigarette packers and the packaging quality of cigarette packets.
