Abstract:
In order to clarify the control effect of 50 g/L afidopyropen dispersible concentrate (DC) against
Myzus persicae in tobacco fields, using 70% (mass fraction) imidacloprid water dispersible granules (WG) as the control, the toxicity of 50 g/L afidopyropen DC to
M. persicae was determined by laboratory toxicity test. Its effect on the feeding behavior of
M. persicae was analyzed by electrical penetration graph (EPG) technology, and the field efficacy tests were conducted. The results of the laboratory toxicity test showed that both 50 g/L afidopyropen DC and 70% imidacloprid WG had good control effects on
M. persicae, and their LC
50 values were 5.592 mg/L and 9.203 mg/L, respectively. The results of EPG monitoring showed that after the treatment with 50 g/L afidopyropen DC, the feeding behavior of
M. persicae was significantly changed, and the duration of non-probing (np) wave was significantly higher than that of the water treatment and 70% imidacloprid WG treatment, indicating that 50 g/L afidopyropen DC could effectively reduce the feeding capacity of
M. persicae. The results of the field efficacy tests showed that 50 g/L afidopyropen DC had a good control effect on
M. persicae. The control effect of 50 g/L afidopyropen DC against
M. persicae was higher than 99% seven days after application, and the effective period reached fourteen days. In conclusion, 50 g/L afidopyropen DC can effectively control
M. persicae in tobacco fields.
