Abstract:
To address the issues of high production cost and large material consumption associated with manual packing of special-shaped cigarette packets, an automatic cigarette filling device for inner packet was designed based on the process flow of YB417C side-opening hard packer and the conditions of incomplete wrapping and unfixed shaping of inner packet. By designing the packing mandrel, cigarette packet hopper and cam movement pattern, the inner packet was smoothly and intactly loaded into the side-opening hard packet. The designed filling device was tested with "Zhonghua (Jinzhongzhi)" brand cigarettes produced by Shanghai Tobacco Group Limited Corporation. The results showed that the said device ran steadily and reliably at an operation speed of 200 packets/min and operation efficiency reached 98.8%. The machine stop caused by the filling device was not more than 1 time/shift, and the cigarette damage or drop was avoided. This technology supports the promotion of production efficiency and packing quality of cigarette packing equipment.
