Abstract:
In order to clarify the quality and style of cherry red tobacco, using Zhusha2 as the research sample and Yunyan87 as the control, the style and quality characteristics of cherry red tobacco from three production areas (Qujing, Yuxi, and Honghe) in Yunnan Province were evaluated. The results showed that: 1) According to the Euclidean distance of tobacco aroma note, the aroma notes of Zhusha2 and Yunyan87 from the same production area were noticeably different. 2) According to the Shannon-Wiener diversity index and Simpson's diversity index, Zhusha2 had various aroma notes, which were significantly more than those of Yunyan87. 3) Zhusha2 displayed 10 varieties of aroma notes, the main aroma notes were dry hay scent and nut scent, and Yunyan87 displayed 6 aroma notes, the main aroma notes were dry hay scent and fresh-sweet scent. 4) The influence of production area on the aroma notes of Zhusha2 was relatively weak, while the influence of tobacco leaf position on the aroma notes of Zhusha2 was stronger. In conclusion, Zhusha2 has diverse aroma notes and its style characteristic is different from that of Yunyan87.
