Abstract:
To investigate the differences in sensory quality characteristics of domestic and imported cigars, their appearance characteristics, aroma characteristics, smoke characteristics, taste characteristics, and combustion characteristics were evaluated and compared by sensory evaluation methods for quality and style of cigar products. The differences in sensory quality between domestic and imported cigars were also analyzed. The results showed that: 1) Compared with the domestic cigars, the overall appearance characteristics of the imported cigars were slightly better, and their aroma characteristics and taste characteristics were better; however, the smoke characteristics of the domestic cigars were better, and their combustion characteristics were obviously better. 2) Compared with the imported cigars, the flatness and color uniformity of the cigar wrapper and the smoke smoothness, combustibility, ash color and ash coherence of the domestic cigars were significantly better; however, the oiliness of the cigar wrapper and the aroma richness, smoke mildness and sweetness of the imported cigars were significantly better. 3) The overall sensory quality characteristics of domestic cigars were more similar to those of non-Cuban cigars, but there were great differences between domestic cigars and Cuban cigars.
