Abstract:
To prevent the tipping paper from forming an uneven joint on cigarette, an automatic tipping paper bias adjustment system was designed for filter cigarette maker ZJ119. The system consists of a monitor mechanism and an actuating mechanism. The monitor mechanism uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect and feedback the position of the tipping paper, and the IPC control system in ZJ119 to control the rotation of a servo motor in the actuating mechanism to responding to the feedback results, further the paper guide roller deflects to adjust the lateral position of the tipping paper through a movable plate and a linking rod. The designed system was tested on a filter cigarette maker ZJ119 with "Honghe (Hard 88)" brand cigarettes in Honghe Cigarette Factory, and the results showed that the frequency of alarms of uneven tipping paper joint reduced from 4.5 to 0.25 times per month, and the time required for manual tipping paper bias adjustment reduced from 54.5 to 2.25 minutes per month. This technology supports the promotion of cigarette appearance quality and the operational efficiency of cigarette makers.
