Abstract:
In order to overcome the problem of cigarette packet jam in the feeding device of FOCKE779 cartoner, a cylinder-type brake was designed to replace the air bag-type brake. The designed cylinder-type brake consists of a fixed brake plate, a movable brake plate and an air cylinder which precisely controls the clamping force of the brake plate acting on the cigarette packets to ensure reliable clamping and releasing of the cigarette packets and even force distribution on their surfaces. The designed brake was tested on "Baisha (Jingpin)" brand cigarettes in Changsha Cigarette Factory. The results showed that the number of classⅠdefective cigarette packets (substandard cigarette packets) reduced to zero, and the number of classⅢ defective cigarette packets with scratches on packet end decreased from 140 packets per month to 23 packets per month, showing a reduction rate of 84%. Machine shutdown caused by squeezed cigarette packets of the first pusher no longer happened, and the production efficiency increased by 0.49 carton per hour per cartoner. This design provides support for improving the packaging quality of cigarette cartons.
