Abstract:
To address the limited metrics available for evaluating the machine adaptability of cigarette packet blanks, the low automation levels of traditional inspection methods, and the difficulty in matching the actual operating conditions of high-speed packers, a high-precision automated device based on TwinCAT real-time control system was developed to test packet blank folding performance. The device integrates a servo drive system, a vision inspection module, and a high-precision pressure sensing unit, and develops a human-machine interaction interface based on TwinCAT HMI. Through program control, precise folding motion of the folding process can be achieved, and pressure data and angle image information during the folding process can be synchronously collected. Interface displays the measured data, process curves and final results in real time. Experimental validation showed that the device had a measurement error of less than 0.3 g·cm for the folding line stiffness of cigarette packet blank , and could synchronously measure and output key parameters, including blank folding line stiffness, folding angle, and springback angle, enabling automated and quantitative testing of packet blank folding performance. It can support packet blank selection, facilitate rapid setup of packaging lines, and reduce production and setup costs.
