Abstract: Basing on the relationship between the air velocities in tobacco conveying tube and dust collecting tube, a method for measuring air velocity in conveying tube indirectly by means of an orifice flow meter fitted in dust collecting tube was presented. The practical application showed that the measurement error was less than 5%.
