Abstract: Two different ways for the assessment of online moisture meter accuracy were analyzed from the views of mathematical statistics, error theory and metrology.It was pointed out that from the angles of error theory and metrology, the standard deviation was good for describing the dispersion of random errors; for evaluating the detection accuracy of online moisture meter, the absolute error, relative error and fiducial error were more suitable.
