Abstract: The published scientific articles written by researchers in Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute (ZTRI) in last 5 years were statistically analyzed from the aspects of quantity, magazines and disciplines involved, age, background and professional title of authors, and etc.The results indicated that the articles increased in number year after year, and mainly covered the key study fields of tobacco chemistry (including tobacco flavorings), agronomy and technology, and most authors possessed high academic degree and professional title and were in their young or middle age.This analysis reflected the current and future capability in scientific research and the potentialities in bringing up research talents of ZTRI from one side.
