Abstract:
The residues of maleic hydrazide (MH) in 239 domestic tobacco leaf, 49 imported tobacco leaf and 12 imported cigarette samples were determined according to ISO 4876-1980.The results showed that:1) the detectable rate of MH in the domestic tobacco leaves was 6.69%, the highest residue was 54.00mg/kg, the lowest 1.50mg/kg, and the mean value 6.82mg/kg;2) the detectable rate of MH in the foreign cigarettes was 58.33%, the highest residue was 42.75mg/kg, the lowest 7.75mg/kg, the mean value 17.57mg/kg;and 3) the detectable rate of MH in the imported tobacco leaves was 30.61%, the highest residue was 14.00mg/kg, the lowest 1.50mg/kg, and the mean value 5.63mg/kg.
