Abstract: As a solution to the problems of high cost, low efficiency, poor security and interfering with field management in package waste recovery system in cigarette making and packing department, a waste automatic handling system was developed on the basis of an existing materials transportation and automatic logistics system. The excess capacity of the laser guided vehicle system (LGV) was used for waste transportation, the procedure mainly included case filling, automatic handling by LGV, case transferring, etc. LGV automatic handling, case transferring and automatic case tipping were discussed in detail. The system communicated signals with outside control systems and featured safe, economical, high efficient and automatic waste recovery in production field, it provided a way for field management and cost reduction.
