Abstract: Aiming at the problem of screen block in the feeding airlock in YJ19 cigarette maker, the airlock was improved: putting an inclined screen to replace levelled one inside the airlock and adding an internal suction pipe to automatically clean the screen with the suction air supplied by the pneumatic conveying system. After improving, the screen block was avoided basically, the frequency of machine shutdown resulted from screen block lowered from 15 times/shift to 0; the steady feeding of cut tobacco was ensured; the labor intensity of operators was reduced; the working life of screen was prolonged; and the operation efficiency of the machine combination was improved obviously.
