Abstract: In order to use tobacco leaf reasonably, adopting the method of combining information collecting and analyzing with sensory evaluating, a cigarette blending expert system including six functional modules (leaf quality evaluating, leaf group blending, data management, plan maintenance, monthly inventory inquiring and rolling estimation) was developed based on the correlation analysis between cigarette quality and chemical components in tobacco and smoke. The results showed that cigarette quality and production cost could be effectively controlled by this system.
