Abstract: The frequent friction between the packet at the bottom of CH and the running packets or packet models resulted in its overwrapped film wrinkle or even worn out. Once defective packet was rejected, the film frazzled packet would be filled in the packet model and go through the following steps finally wrapped in a carton. The CH in GDX2 cigarette packing machine was improved with an EASY412-DC-R PLC. The reject signal was collected and shifted by the PLC, and an added cylinder was controlled to move the packet in CH into the packet model. The cigarette packet in CH maintained good appearance by avoiding the friction with packet models.
