Abstract: Taking account of the development of Industrial Ethernet technology and the requirements of information management and field control,the Industrial Ethernet technology was applied all round from field equipment to information management level in the control system in the 2400kg/h primary processing line of Wuhan Cigarette Factory.The network structure,configurations of control level,field equipment level and information management level,and the security setting of the network and system were discussed.The Industrial Ethernet based control system in primary processing line was easy to integration,extension and maintenance and free from the shortcomings associated with traditional field bus.The practical application showed that Industrial Ethernet based control is real time and reliable,it satisfies the requirements of field equipment control in primary processing line.
