Abstract:
The effects of foliar spraying of Mg+B,Mg,B,Mo,and Ca on pot cultured flue-cured tobacco were studied, and the nicotine, total nitrogen, polyphenols, proteins and water soluble sugars in tobacco leaves were determined. The results showed that comparing with the control, nicotine and total nitrogen in tobacco treated with Mg+B,Mg,B,Mo,Ca decreased by 19.1%,15.1%,14.4%,20.9%,11.9% and 31.5%,26.9%,13.8%,40.0%,10.4%,respectively.Protein content decreased to a certain extent, particularly in Mo treatment which reduced by 41.7%.All treatments reduced polyphenols in different degrees, though not significantly, and promoted the accumulation of water soluble sugars in treated tobacco leaves.
